Barry Pic for website edit

Was born in Miramichi in February 1961, Born and Raised in Doaktown  . In July of 1984 Married a Doaktown Girl and we have raised our three children in Doaktown. Our only Daughter lives in the area where she lives with our four Grandchildren. I have worked in Doaktown my entire Adult life at the J.D. Irving Sawmill(formerly Russell and Swim Sawmill), I began as a Labourer and then quickly rose through the ranks and become a Power Engineer. I was a Supervisor for approximately 12 years, I have served on the Safety Committee for over twenty years, carry out Environmental issues for the Site in conjunction with Management, and sit on numerous other site committees. From an early age I instilled into our kids the importance of God and Church, for us Sunday was Church time as well as other occasions. That’s why I am an Aspiring Deacon in the Church and have sit on many Committees over the years. I am very passionate about our community and Village and its future moving forward, I bring the same passion and dedication to the Village as I have in my work life and Christian life to the table.
