Councillor Beresford Price

Beresford was born in Miramichi in February 1961, raised in Doaktown his entire life.

In July of 1984 he married a Doaktown Girl, Angela (O'Donnell) and they have raised three children, Andrew, Timothy and Nancy , all who reside in Doaktown. Thier only daughter Nancy is the proud Mom of thier 4 grandchildren. Ayden,Carly, Silas and Elijah are the apple of Grandpa's eye.

Beresford has worked in Doaktown his entire Adult life at the J.D. Irving Sawmill (formerly Russell and Swim Sawmill), he began as a Labourer and then quickly rose through the ranks and become a Power Engineer. He was a Supervisor for approximately 12 years, and he served on the Safety Committee for over twenty years, carrying out Environmental issues for the Site in conjunction with Management, and sat on numerous other site committees.

From an early age, he instilled into thier kids the importance of God and Church, for them Sunday was Church time as well as other occasions. That’s why he is an Aspiring Deacon in the Church and has sat on many Committees over the years. He is very passionate about the community, the Village and its future moving forward.

He brings the same passion and dedication to the Village as he has in his work life and Christian life.
